REEL GAY ANNOUNCES THANKSGIVING PRIMETIME TELEVISION NIGHT
A FUNDRAISER FOR PFLAG-“A REEL HOLLYWOOD THANKSGIVING”

On Saturday night, November 29th, REEL GAY TV will host another “Spend Thanksgiving With Your Other Family”, a national primetime gay and lesbian television promotion in bars and nightclubs across the country.  The event is sponsored by Orbitz and is a fundraiser for PFLAG-Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays.  PFLAG is a national non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons, their families and their friends.

This year’s promotion “A REEL HOLLYWOOD THANKSGIVING” will feature 5-minute music videos submitted by the affiliate bars and nightclubs in REEL GAY’S nationwide network, with the top 30 submissions making up the finals night show to be broadcast at primetime on Saturday night of the Thanksgiving weekend.  (Clubs may elect to exhibit the show on any or all nights over the Thanksgiving weekend-but the winner will be announced Saturday night.)

Each club shall have until November 15th to post and submit a 3-5 minute video which showcases the creativity, talent and originality of that club, or one or some of it’s patrons.  “It could be their premiere ‘hostess’, their ringer karaoke singer, their hottest dance routine, perhaps their best comic, or fiercest drag queen, or some other undiscovered ‘star’ that is ready for his or her close-up,” MANMADE’S president Bill Manuel explains.  “This is the chance for every club to identify their stars, and deliver them up, Hollywood style.” 

The winning club will be awarded a prize package befit for a star-round trip tickets for 4 to Hollywood, CA with accommodations in the heart of tinseltown, an exclusive backlot tour of a major motion picture studio, shopping sprees, plus a whirlwind day on the town in Weho starting with a workout session with a private trainer, spa treatment, salon/styling, teeth cleaning and whitening, botox and facial treatments, limo service to all the hotspots including dinner, drinks, and, by god there will be dancing.  And, the winning club will get a professional video shoot, with REEL GAY crews covering an event of the winners choosing, for feature in an upcoming REEL GAY show. All participating clubs will receive their very own video page on www.reelgay.com, where their video will be shown for the world to see.You should register your club as soon as possible to reserve your video page. You can register now and upload your video later.  Instructions and specifications on how to upload can be found here. Video talent must be 21 years of age, and must execute a talent release. After being uploaded on the website, all videos must be sent to MANMADE along with talent releases to be eligible for inclusion in the Thanksgiving show. Lack of talent releases will disqulaify a video from being included in the broadcast. Talent releases can be found here. Winners will be determined by a combination of 2 factors.  First, the number of plays the video receives on the website will make up 50% of the videos score.  MANMADE MULTIMEDIA will determine the remainder of the score.  Judging will be based on creativity, entertainment value and originality.  Videos that are offensive or pornographic in nature will not be considered.  A full of list of rules and regulations can be found here.
